Missing fisherman found dead in Sorsogon

LEGAZPI CITY — A fishermen who had been missing for three days was found dead on Monday, Jan. 30, in Matnog town in Sorsogon, authorities said on Tuesday, Jan. 31.
Matnog municipal disaster risk reduction and management office said Jerry Candia, 38, of Barangay Cogon in Bulusan town, was found at 12:40 p.m. floating in the waters off Sitio (sub-village) Juag in Barangay Calintaan.

Candia was reported missing on Saturday in Bulusan.
Gremil Alexis Naz, Office of Civil Defense Bicol spokesperson, reported 13 deaths due to continuous rains that caused flooding and landslides in the region.
