Neighbors breaking borders in 5th Tingin film fest

What does it mean to be a good neighbor? That is the question that the fifth edition of Tingin Southeast Asian Film Festival is addressing during its limited online run beginning tomorrow till Dec. 4.

This year’s theme “Imaginaries of Neighborliness” was chosen by festival director Maya Quirino because, as she explained to Inquirer Entertainment last Monday, it is “an anchoring concept that we ought to have tackled in the earlier iterations of the festival.” Explaining further, Maya said, “This theme is foundational to a festival that seeks to open audiences’ eyes to what their neighbors are up to.
