TWITTER IS SHUTTING DOWN – Is it true that the social media platform Twitter is shutting down? #GoodeTwitter trends online.

The famous platform Twitter is a micro-blogging site where users can share their thoughts and opinion about extensive topics like politics, sports, cooking, fashion, and many others. Each post is called a “tweet”. A tweet can be liked, re-tweeted, and allow comments.

Last month, billionaire Elon Musk completed his acquisition of Twitter which was followed by layoffs of thousands of employees and firings of engineers critical of him. He has closed the deal for $44 billion.

And currently circulating online is the story about Twitter being shut down. #GoodeTwitter became a trending topic online along with #RIPTwitter.

This topic trended online after it has been announced that the offices were closed immediately for a temporary time and will be back on Monday, November 21.

According to a report from BBC, a massive resignation in the company happened when Musk called them to sign up for “long hours at high intensity” or leave.

“Please continue to comply with company policy by refraining from discussing confidential company information on social media, with the press or elsewhere,” says the message.

A former employee who wished to remain his identification unknown expressed, “I think when the dust clears today, there’s probably going to be less than 2,000 people left.”

A Twitter staff has also posted this message:

Here are some reactions from the users of the platform:

Me checking twitter every 5 seconds to make sure it’s still here

Me right now manifesting that Twitter won’t shut down
