WATCH: Misamis responders honor Bulacan rescuers who perished during typhoon onslaught

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Responders of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Manticao town, Misamis Oriental honored colleagues of Bulacan who perished while on rescue mission last Sunday amid the onslaught of Super Typhoon Karding.

At 7 p.m. on Friday, the Manticao rescuers offered prayers outside their office and then sounded the ambulance’s alarm for a minute.

“The fallen colleagues perished while performing their duty to save people from the wrath of the supertyphoon,” read a post from the Manticao MDRRMO.

At 7:00 o’clock this evening (September 30), responders of Manticao Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) said a prayer and alarmed the ambulance for one minute to honor the five rescuers of the Provincial DRRMO Bulacan who died during the Supertyphoon Karding.The fallen colleagues perished while performing their duty to save people from the wrath of the supertyphoon.#RespondersFamily

The five members of the Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office who lost their lives are George Agustin, Narciso Calayag Jr., Troy Justin Agustin, Jerson Resurreccion, and Marby Bartolome.

The local rescuers were found dead after they drowned while responding to flood-hit areas in San Miguel town.

The Senate has also adopted a resolution introduced by Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr., honoring the Bulacan rescuers’ heroism.
