JOVELYN GALLENO: Cousin Confessed That Recovered Skeleton Not Owned by Victim

JOVELYN GALLENO – The victim’s cousin allegedly confessed that the recovered skeleton was not owned by the lady.

A few days ago, the Philippine National Police found the alleged remains of Jovelyn Galleno in Sto. Pulang Lupa, Brgy. Sta. Lourdes in Palawan together with her IDs and other belongings.

However, the Philippines National Police will still conduct an autopsy and DNA test to determine whether the body is owned by Jovelyn or not. The family also confirmed that the items beside the remains were owned by the victim.

Recently, the victim’s sister Jonalyn Galleno told the veteran Pinoy broadcaster Raffy Tulfo that her cousin Leobert Dasmariñas admitted that the remains found in Sto. Pulang Lupa, Brgy. Sta. Lourdes was not owned by Jovelyn.

According to Jonalyn, she asked her cousin twice if Jovelyn really owned the remains. However, the latter repeatedly said “No”. The suspect’s statement confused the public regarding the truth behind the incident.

“…para mabigyan ng maayos na libing ang ate ko kung siya ba talaga yun aminin mo sa akin kung siya talaga yung, yung kalansay na yun? Dalawang beses ko siyang tinanong at ang sagot niya sa akin ay hindi,” Jonalyn said.

The family also wondered why Dasmariñas surrendered two days after he was arrested for stabbing his other cousin.

“Sumuko po yan siya sa kapulisan, na inamin niya talaga na nakasaksak siya. Pero 2 days ago nagtataka kami kung bakit may ganung nangyari na po, na biglang umamin siya…dapat po kasi noong sumuko siya ay inamin niya na po yun,” Jonalyn added.
