Joko Diaz “Klaudio” Shapeshift as “First Darna” Iza Calzado

Iza Calzado the “First Darna” has apparently made a comeback after being reduced to as in combat as seen in the superhero series’ Friday episode.

Narda (Jane de Leon) witnessed what she initially believed to be an apparition of her late mother Leonor in the episode titled “Darna Returns” (Calzado). Leonor, or someone who appeared to be her, appeared briefly, but her brother Ding (Zaijian Jaranilla) was able to affirm that she was back in the flesh.

Ding was initially overcome with sorrow upon seeing his mother again four years after her passing, but he quickly set out to find out where she had been all along. When the woman didn’t respond to his questions, Ding became suspicious and made up a recollection about a flower with her. When she pretended to remember, her response verified his fears.

Based on the report of ABS-CBN that in reality, the person posing as “Leonor” killed her four years ago while seeking the stone that turns her into Darna.

Later, the mysterious Klaudio (Joko Diaz), who gained Ding’s trust as his mentor and a father figure, would take on the shapeshifter’s appearance. The shapeshifter assumed his form and enticed Narda into the jungle with the intention of taking the stone while Ding was out of it.

The report mentioned that, the Martean monster instructed Narda to hand over the stone so she can defend her while assuming the identity of Leonor once more and knowing the nature of her interactions with her offspring.

Fortunately, Ding arrived in time to prevent his sister from delivering the stone to the shapeshifter out of blindness while she was still digesting her mother’s apparent revival.

Nearly two weeks after Leonor’s metamorphosis into the superhero and her following death scene, Calzado made an appearance in the “Mars Ravelo’s Darna” episode from August 26.

“Mars Ravelo’s Darna,” directed by renowned director Chito S. Roo and starring Avel Sunpongco and Benedict Mique, airs weeknights on TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, CineMo, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and TFC.
