PNP rounds up drug suspects, seizes total P4.4-M shabu in string of ops
MANILA, Philippines — More than P4.4-million worth of crystal meth or shabu have been seized in recent anti-illegal drug operations across Luzon, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Friday.

In a statement, the PNP confirmed that Naneth Obias, who has been listed as big-time drug peddler in the provincial recalibrated priority database on illegal drugs, and Anthony Ariola were arrested in Goa, Camarines Sur earlier in the day.
It added that around 510 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P3,468,000 were recovered from the two drug suspects.

Obias and Ariola, along with the pieces of evidence, have been brought to the Goa municipal police station.
In a separate operation, PNP said authorities similarly nabbed Rogelio Dela Cruz Jr. and Faisal Merillo in Dinalupihan, Bataan on Thursday morning.
The duo yielded some P1,020,000 worth of suspected shabu, one caliber .45 Norinco 1911 pistol with three live ammunitions, one white Toyota Corolla and buy-bust money, according to PNP.
Both Dela Cruz and Merillo are currently under the custody of the Dinalupihan municipal station.
