Motorcycle rider dead in Laguna road mishap

LUCENA CITY—A motorcycle rider died when he lost control of his vehicle while traveling on Thursday, June 30, in the City of Cabuyao, Laguna province.

The Police Regional Office 4A, citing information from the Cabuyao police, reported Friday that motorcyclist Eduardo Castillo was overtaking a passenger jeepney on the shoulder of the road in Barangay Banay-Banay around 9:30 p.m. when he figured in the accident.

Castillo was thrown from his vehicle, landed on the pavement, and suffered grave injuries.

The victim died while being transported by barangay tanod (village watchmen) to the Ospital ng Cabuyao.
