A joint team of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Naga City police made the bust.

Seized from the suspect were 500 grams of shabu worth P3.4 million, police said.

The illegal drugs are now in the custody of the Naga City Police Office.

Police said Batan is now facing a complaint for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.

“We see here the relentless actions and operational partnership of the PDEA and PNP in our quest to curb illegal drug activities in the country,” Danao said in a press release. – Christine Annie Asistio, INQUIRER.net trainee
