PAGASA Says LPA to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reporter that a low-pressure area spotted off Dagupan City will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (June 28, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area has been last spotted at 305 km West of Dagupan City, Pangasinan or 760 km Northeast of Legazpi City, Albay. The Southwest Monsoon will be affecting the western sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

“Dahil sa LPA at habagat, sa buong Luzon, kasama ang Metro Manila, inaasahan natin ang maulap na kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at thunderstorms,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

The LPA will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon are expected to experience similar weather condition.

Partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected over the rest of Mindanao due to localized thunderstorms.

“Iyong buong Kabisayaan at Zamboanga Peninsula, dahil sa epekto ng habagat, sa araw na ito’y makulimlim at may tsansa ng mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at thunderstorm.” Aurelio added.

The coastal water condition over northern and central Luzon as well as rest of the country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
