Jane de Leon went through tough training for her Darna role

Kapamilya actress Jane de Leon shared that she had a few accidents on the set of the Darna series when she did the fight scenes.

Jane has started spreading her cape as the new Darna in the Kapamilya primetime series. After several delays, the project eventually pushed through and this is the biggest break in Jane’s career so far.

In an interview, based on the article in Manila Bulletin, the actress shared that she went through a tough time from the training until the actual shooting. Her stunt trainer is from Australia.

When it comes to the accidents on the set, Jane de Leon said she had a few. “Ilang beses na po ako na-aaksidente. Sa totoo lang po talaga na-ospital na rin po ako and dumating sa point na kailangan na rin po ako bigyan ng shot ng anti-tetanus,” the actress revealed.

She also said that this is inevitable when doing action scenes. When this happens, Jane said that she just needed to rest and then, continue again. Jane also shared the day she wore her Darna costume for the first time. She said that all her efforts were worth it.

“Actually super naging emotional ako noong unang beses ko suotin ang costume from how many years na naghintay mga almost two years siguro ‘yun and now ma experience ko na talaga ang pagiging Darna,” she said.

When asked about the upcoming premiere of her teleserye, Jane admitted that she feels pressured but she said that this is just normal. On the other hand, she is staying positive and staying with the people who can help her to be better.
