Will Gabby Concepcion try his luck in politics once again?

Seasoned actor Gabby Concepcion is allegedly preparing for the midterm elections in 2025 and it was said that he is aiming for this position.

Gabby has a successful career in showbiz during the 1990s. After taking a break for quite a while, he returned and his popularity is still commendable. Currently, he is the lead actor in the Kapuso series First Lady, the sequel of First Yaya.

In the said series, his role is a politician. His character is the President of the country. Gabby is not a newbie in the world of politics. He tried to his luck in politics years ago when he ran for Mayor in San Juan City. Unfortunately, he did not win.

In an interview early this year, he said that he has no plan of entering politics, as of now. However, in a recent article by entertainment columnist Salve Asis in Pang-Masa, she said that Gabby Concepcion is planning to run in the 2025 midterm elections for congressman. However, it was not elaborated where he is planning to run.

“You read it right, naghahanda na raw ang actor sa kanyang plano sa susunod na election. Mabilis lang ang tatlong taon kung tutuusin at baka hindi natin mamamalayan, 2025 na pala,” Asis wrote in her article.

The columnist also said that there were already several showbiz personalities who are planning for their political careers this next elections. Asis also mentioned that the renewing of contract between Gabby Concepcion and GMA-7 is set to happen soon.

As of this writing, there is no official statement yet from the camp of the seasoned actor regarding his rumored political plan.

Meanwhile, the most successful showbiz personality during the recently-concluded 2022 elections was Robin Padilla. He was hailed as the number one Senator that brought out surprised reactions from many people.
