Still Unidentified Suspects Shot Barangay Kagawad while Driving Tricycle Sorsogon

BARANGAY KAGAWAD – A barangay councilor of Barangay Bulawan in Sorsogon, Shyrman Medel, was shot while he was driving a tricycle.

A lot of unfortunate incidents are taking place in the different parts of the Philippines daily. Some of the incidents have left people injured while others really cost lives. Some of these unfortunate circumstances are accidents while others were seemingly plotted by other individuals.

Many families were left grieving by unfortunate events that cost the lives of their loved ones. One of these families is the family of a barangay councilor in Sorsogon, Shyrman Medel.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Shyrman Medel, a barangay kagawad of Barangay Bulawan in Irosin, Sorsogon, was shot while he was driving his tricycle. Aboard the three-wheeled vehicle is his wife who was seated on the front passenger’s seat.

According to the report, four (4) still unidentified persons shot the victim. The 38-year-old barangay kagawad obtained wounds on his head and several parts of his body. Unfortunately, he did not survive the incident.

The wife of Medel who was seated on the front seat of the tricycle’s sidecar survived the incident and is safe. Based on the initial investigation of the police, the couple was supposedly off to Sorsogon City when the incident happened.

The authorities have yet to find the reason behind the incident that caused the life of Medel. The police are investigating the unfortunate event to determine the suspects and their motives. Reportedly, aside from being part of the local government of the barangay, the victim is also working as a tricycle driver.
