PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Wednesday (June 1)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area will bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Wednesday (June 1, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low pressure area will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the LPA has been last spotted in the vicinity of Coron, Palawan.  It would bring cloudy condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon and Marinduque will experience the same weather condition.

“Nananatiling mababa ‘yong tsansa nito na maging bagyo at ayon sa ating latest analysis, posible na malusaw na lamang ito ngayong araw,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over entire Visayas and Mindanao.

The provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao and Benguet as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition.

The weather agency has also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
