Pinoy Radio Personality Erwin Tulfo Wants Distribute 4Ps Cash at “Isang Bagsakan”

The Filipino radio broadcaster Erwin Tulfo wants to distribute 4Ps cash using the ‘One-Time’ method instead of monthly distribution.

Incoming Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Erwin Tulfo is planning to distribute the cash assistance to the beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program’s (4Ps’) using “Isang Bagsakan” method.

Tulfo explained that the beneficiaries can use the money for other purposes if it will be distributed as a “Lump Sum” instead of monthly cash aid. He said that the beneficiaries can even use it for livelihood.

“Ang plano natin… kung pwede i-lump sum na lang sa isang tao, isang pamilya yung kaniyang 4Ps. Kasi ngayon po tumatanggap ata ng P1200 or P1400 per month. Bakit hindi na lang i-lump sum na for one year? Ito yung P12,000 to P14,000 i-negosyo mo,” Tulfo said.

The latter said that beneficiaries can stand on their own if the lump sum will be used for livelihood. He also revealed that President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will pursue financial assistance for less-fortunate Filipinos.

“Why not give it as a lump sum para magamit pang kabuhayan o dagdagan pa natin ng livelihood para mas malaki-laki. From P14,000 magiging P19,000 to P20,000 na po yan. Kaya matitigil na ang monthly at makatayo na sila sa sarili nilang mga paa,” Tulfo added.

However, the appointed DSWD secretary said that the experts and social workers will still study his suggestion. If approved, it will be initially imposed in several barangays before implementing it in the entire country.

Marcos Jr. will also order DSWD to update the list of 4Ps beneficiaries and digitalized the distribution of cash aid.
