They immediately called the Bureau of Fire Protection station workers, who sent a team to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters destroyed the padlock on the gate to enter the school.

Senior Fire Officer 3 Limberto Morales Jr., Quezon town fire marshal, said they had yet to determine the cause of the fire and the amount of damage it caused.

He said the fire razed the canteen, the accounting office, the registrar’s office, the faculty office, the computer room, the laboratory room, the library, and other classrooms.

The secondary department building was not affected.

Firefighters from the nearby towns of Santa Maria, Roxas, and Mallig helped extinguish the fire, which started at about 6 p.m. and was put out by 9 p.m.
