Video of Pickup Truck Driver Who Accidentally Hits Traffic Enforcer in Cebu Elicits Comments Online

The video footage of a pickup truck that accidentally hits a traffic enforcer at an intersection in Balamban town, western Cebu goes viral.

The Facebook page “CDN Digital” has shared the video footage of a traffic enforcer who got hit by a pickup truck while manning the traffic at an intersection. The video garnered various reactions from the online community.

In the video, it can be seen that the road personnel is managing the flow of traffic at an intersection in front of St. Francis de Assisi Church in Brgy. Baliwagan. Everything seems to be fine until something unexpected happened.

A gray pickup truck accidentally hit the traffic officer identified as Jovey Ramos. The 37-year-old victim suffered physical injuries in different parts of his body due to the incident. He was rushed to the Balamban Provincial Hospital for immediate medical treatment.

The pickup driver named Bernardo Gorgonio Ricafort is currently under the custody of the Balamban Police Station. The authorities are preparing the charges that will be filed against the suspect.

The police officers released the result of the initial investigation and found out that the driver is supposed to make a left turn when he accidentally sideswiped the traffic enforcer. The victim suffered serious physical injuries.

The victim is a resident of Brgy. Cambuhawe in Balamban while the driver is a resident of Brgy Pondol, Balamban.
