Katrina Ponce-Enrile wants to step up her public service

MANILA, Philippines — Katrina Ponce-Enrile, daughter of former senator Juan Ponce Enrile, wants to take her advocacy to a different level.

Hence, she has decided join politics to represent the first district of Cagayan province in Congress.

As an entrepreneur and successful businesswoman she runs Delimondo, one of the most successful food brands in the Philippines with distribution in other parts of the world as well.

With her own resources she was able to promote her advocacy of #AlagangKatrina, a charitable conduit by which she is able to help people in need of help.

But with the changing times comes the many challenges that Cagayan now faces.

This made her decide that in order for her to bring progress and development to more people in more areas she now has to toss her hat into the political arena.

Her frequent involvement in her advocacy has opened her eyes to more pressing needs in Cagayan that seriously requires attention.

Enrile now believes the only way for her to hasten these changes is through determined leadership.
