GMA contradicted the statement of Bongbong Marcos against Jessica Soho

Presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos cited being “biased” as the reason why he turned down the invitation to be interviewed by seasoned journalist Jessica Soho and this was objected by GMA Network.

Following the release of the teaser of Jessica Soho’s Presidential Interviews, the Kapuso network reported that BBM declined to join other presidential candidates in this political event.

Though his spokesperson Atty. Vic Rodriguez, the presidential aspirant revealed his reason why he turned down the invitation from GMA. He believes that Soho is biased against the Marcoses and that the interview will just focus on negativity about him.

However, this statement of Bongbong Marcos was strongly opposed by GMA. In a recently released statement, the TV network said that it is objecting to the claim of BBM that Jessica Sohos is “biased”.

The Kapuso network also stressed that throughout the years that Soho spent in the broadcasting industry, she was recognized for her excellence. GMA said that the seasoned journalist has always been clinging to the network’s ethos – “Walang Kinikilingan, Walang Prinoprotektahan, Serbisyong Totoo Lamang.”

GMA also highlighted the recognition that the network got from Oxford/Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism as the most trusted media organization in the Philippines.

“It is unfortunate that Mr. Marcos has chosen to decline the invitation extended by the network,” the network stated adding that this could be a perfect opportunity for candidates to inform the public about their programs and advocacy, as well as to address pressing issues.

This can also help voters to determine who deserves their vote in the 2022 elections. “The questions are tough because the job of the presidency is tough,” GMA stated.
