80 more Central Luzon cops recover from COVID-19

OLONGAPO CITY–At least 80 police personnel in Central Luzon have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the number of active cases of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) to 340, data showed on Wednesday, Jan. 19.

The new recoveries raised to 3,040 PRO3’s total personnel cleared of the viral disease since the pandemic struck in 2020.

PRO3 had 470 active COVID-19 cases the previous day, according to its health service data.

But 40 new patients and a single death related to the disease were added to the COVID-19 tally of PRO3. Its death toll now stood at eight.

So far, 3,388 police and non-uniformed police personnel in the region have contracted COVID-19 since 2020.
