Optimum Star Claudine Barretto admitted that the world of politics is “mas magulo” than the world where she grew up but she is willing to face these difficulties in order to serve the people.

Claudine is just among the many celebrities in the Philippines who eventually ventured into politics at one point of their careers. She is running for councilor in Olongapo City under mayoralty candidate Arnold Vegafria who is also her manager. When the

candidacy of the actress

was announced, many eyebrows were raised as people are questioning her credibility to serve and there were also those who were wondering why she is running in Olongapo.

Vegafria explained that almost the entire time of the pandemic,

aside from the fact that her father was a former SBMA chairman.

Claudine previously

admitted that she is not that knowledgeable when it comes to politics

but her determination to serve will overcome this. Based on the article in PEP, during a recent episode of Anthony Taberna’s show on YouTube and Facebook titled

, the Optimum Star said that she knows that politics has a chaotic atmosphere.

However, she stressed that she sees this opportunity to help more people. Claudine Barretto also shared her political plans if ever she will be elected councilor in Olongapo.

She shared that each member of their team or party has a specific role to do. “

” the actress said.

Claudine further explained that matters about healthcare, housing, livelihood, and wellness will be under her supervision. She also stressed the importance of providing jobs for people in Olongapo.

The Optimum Star also mentioned that if she will be elected, she will start studying politics in order to be more knowledgeable in this field.
