Jake Cuenca Arrested After Car Chase

JAKE CUENCA – Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca was arrested after his sports utility vehicle (SUV) allegedly bumped a police vehicle in Mandaluyong.

A police car chases occur when a suspect attempted to run away from cops attempting to arrest them. They try to lose the cops by driving away usually at high speed.

Eastern Police District director Police Brigadier General Matthew Bacay said an SUV passed by and bumped the police car at around 9 PM. He said the vehicle did not stop so they chased it. It happened at the corner of Shaw Boulevard and Meralco Avenue in Pasig City. When confronted, the driver of the SUV was identified as Cuenca.

“Last night at about 9 pm, may dumaan na sasakyan, unfortunately tinamaan ang sasakyan ng mga pulis natin at hindi tumigil ang sasakyan…”

“Hinabol ng mga pulis natin hanggang sa nakarating sa area ng Pasig sa may Shaw and when confronted, nakita na ang driver ng sasakyan ay ang aktor na si Jake Cuenca.”

According to the report, Matthew Bacay said that nothing illegal was found inside Jake Cuenca’s car. He also said that they tried to shot the wheel during the chase, but it accidentally hit another driver.

“

During the chase. kailangan i-disable ang sasakyan (ni Jake Cuenca) kaya pinutukan ang gulong… May Grab driver na tinamaan ng stray bullet… Nasa maayos naman na kalagayan sa ospital ang Grab driver…”

Bacay added.

Bacay said that the Mandaluyong Police will file a complaint of reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property against Cuenca.
