Supporters of Leni Robredo Criticized Over Fake Posts that Shows “Pink” Support

A concerned netizen slammed the supporters of Leni Robredo over manipulated fake posts on social media that show pink support.

A concerned Facebook user called Joe Ferreras uploaded multiple samples of social media posts that he believes are being manipulated by the “Pink Army,” or supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo, who is now running for president in 2022.

Several establishments with pink lights have been reported as Robredo supporters based on the excerpt he gave. The fraudulent claims have been criticized by some netizens and management, including St. Lukes Medical Center in Quezon City.

According to them, the pink light in the photo is for Pink October Awareness, also known as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Even the famous Tokyo SkyTree was also claimed to support Robredo.

Robredo recently faced backlash after announcing her presidential bid and displaying her distinctive “pink ribbon.” Robredo’s followers flushed pink after she announced her presidential run in fresh hues, which supporters interpreted as a statement of hope for the country.

Robredo wore a pink ribbon fastened to a blue blouse while announcing his political goals, while her daughters wore pink face masks. Individuals and personalities, including Angel Locsin and Jolina Magdangal, for example, shared photos of themselves wearing pink outfits and other shots filtered with pink effects.

Robredo’s choice of pink and blue as her primary campaign colors is a clear departure from the color yellow, which she was previously associated with as the Liberal Party’s leader. Critics, on the other hand, continue to criticized her because she is pink on the outside but still yellow from deep within.
