PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone would continue to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains over parts of the country.

On Tuesday (August 31, 2021), the

The ITCZ would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol region, Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Apayao, Kalinga, Aurora, and Quezon.

“In the next 24 hours, mataas ang tiyansa ng pag-ulan sa Cagayan Valley Region, Aurora, Quezon, buong Kabikulan, kasama na din ang Apayao at Kalinga, dahil sa Intertropical Convergence Zone,”

weather specialist Loriedin Dela Cruz said.

PAGASA said that these areas are expected to experience possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms is expected over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Northern Samar, Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country are also expected to experience similar weather conditions. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are also expected due to the effects of the ITCZ.

“Improved weather ang inaasahan sa Southern Luzon, kasama na ang Metro Manila, Patuloy pa din makakaranas ng magandang panahon ang malaking bahagi ng Visayas at Mindanao,”

Dela Cruz added.

No weather disturbances are expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility for the next two to three days.

The coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
