Jinkee comforts Manny Pacquiao after loss to Ugas: ‘I’m proud to be your wife’

Jinkee Pacquiao assured her husband, boxing icon and senator Manny Pacquiao, that she still considers him a “champion” despite his loss to Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugas.
Ugas defeated Manny via unanimous decision during their boxing match at Las Vegas, Nevada yesterday, Aug. 22. The Filipino boxer was
apologetic
after his loss, but told the public that he gave it his best.

Meanwhile, Manny’s wife expressed how proud she is of him by showing behind-the-scenes photos of the boxer on her Instagram page, also yesterday.
“I’m proud to be your wife. You mean the world to me and all our children,” Jinkee said to Manny, recalling the sacrifices he made to become a world champion in boxing.

Jinkee added that through her years of standing by Manny’s side before he enters the ring, he has inspired her to be giving.
“Win or lose on the ring, you are forever the champion of our hearts,” she told her husband. “To all our kababayans (fellow countrymen) all over the world, thank you for loving Manny.”

Manny was supposed to face American boxer Errol Spence, but the latter suffered from an
eye injury
which made him pull out of the fight. Ugas was
drafted
to face the world champion earlier this month.
Manny said his fight with Ugas may be
his last
, though he also contemplated hanging his gloves when he ran for the Senate in 2016.
