PH posts new record: 10,016 new Covid-19 cases

The Philippines posted its highest single day tally on Monday, March 29, 2021, breaking the 10,000 barrier.

The Department of Health reported 10,016 new cases, pushing the total to 731,894. There were 115,495 active cases.

The positivity rate was also high at 18 percent.

Almost 99 percent of the active cases were either mild, moderate or asymptomatic.

The ICU bed utilization in Metro Manila is now at 76 percent, while isolation beds and ward beds are at 70 and 59 percent, respectively.
