Calbayog City police chief sacked over mayor’s death
MANILA, Philippines — The chief of the Calbayog City police has been relieved over the deadly shooting of Mayor Ronald Aquino and five others, the Philippine National Police (PNP) announced Sunday.

In a statement on Sunday, PNP officer- in- charge Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said that Lt. Col. Neil Montaño has been relieved from his post effective March 14.
