Magnitude 4.5 quake jolts Oriental Mindoro

A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck in Oriental Mindoro province on Monday evening, the latest bulletin by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The Phivolcs bulletin said the quake, which occurred at 7:28 p.m., centered west of the town of Bongabong. It had a depth of 24 kilometers and was felt in Quezon and Batangas provinces.
According to Phivolcs, it was felt af Intensity 3 in Calapan City, also in Oriental Mindoro; Intensity 2 in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro and Mulanay, Quezon; and Intensity 1 in Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro, Batangas City in Batangas, and Lopez in Quezon.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injury from the earthquake that lasted for a few seconds.
