6 hurt as cargo ship catches fire near Delpan Bridge in Manila
MANILA, Philippines — At least six persons were injured after a cargo ship caught fire near the Delpan Bridge in Tondo, Manila Saturday.
According to a report from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), among those hurt were four crew members of the small cargo vessel MV Titan 8 that caught fire and two crew members of the nearby MV Princess Christine.
The fire reached the third alarm around 9:00 a.m, said the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

The PCG said it has deployed its oil spill boom to control any possible oil spill incident.
Investigators have yet to trace the cause of the fire. The fire is still ongoing, as of this writing.
