117,000 Pfizer vaccines to arrive in PH in April — Dizon

THE 117,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines from the World Health Organization-initiated Covax facility will arrive this April, a National Task Force official said on Wednesday.

Speaking in Filipino during a Laging Handa public briefing, Deputy Chief Implementer Vivencio “Vince” Dizon said the vaccines against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) will still be distributed to medical frontliners.

The Philippines was supposed to receive last February the first batch of vaccines from Pfizer but the delivery was halted due to issues on the indemnification agreement.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. had said the pharmaceutical company was asking for full immunity against suit if ever recipients of its vaccine experience adverse effects.
