After breaking up with her ex-husband Tom Rodriguez, Carla Abellana continues to move forward. The split was accompanied by a number of issues that were widely discussed online. While building on her dream home, she experimented with making soap and candles.

Carla was concentrating on building her house. “I am building my house, my dream house, what else, spending more time with my family medyo doon ako hindi lang preoccupied pero talagang doon ako busy [ngayon]” she said in an interview at the GMA Thanksgiving Gala in August 2022.

In January, Carla Abellana gave a sneak peek at her new home. She shared a photo of architect Gabby inspecting her home.

After a year, the 36-year-old celebrity claimed that she is feeling better now. She said, “Di ko po masabi kung mas happy, parang hindi naman po eh. Pero definitely, I guess kung sasabihin ko lang — kumbaga kung ikukumpara po from a year ago, ibang iba po. Kita naman po ‘yan. Eh kahit ako naman po, nararamdaman ko naman po ‘yun.”

The actress, on the other hand, claimed that while she can’t say she is happier now, she does feel better. “Much better kumpara sa nakaraang taon or months ago,” she said.

In a post on her Instagram account last May 23, Carla Abellana uploaded a video of herself jamming to Usher’s song “Confessions.” She then wrote a short but sweet note about the people she was with at that time and how much she has been missing them.

Then, she wrote a succinct but heartfelt statement about the people she was with at the time and how much she missed them. The Kapuso star also talked about being the “last one singing.”

“When you’re the last one standing, ay este singing. Missing the barkada extra tonight!,” she wrote:
