Actor-host Luis Manzano and actor Tom Rodriguez appeared to have the same fate due to the best men in their weddings.

Just recently, it was reported that Luis Manzano seek the help of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) as he has been receiving complaints from investors who did not receive their earnings after investing in Flex Fuel Petroleum Corporation.

Luis has already resigned last year from the said company which is reportedly run by his best man. His legal counsel has already clarified that he has nothing to do with the company anymore.

One of the investors said that Luis was the reason why they invested in the said business and they trusted the company that their money will grow.

Entertainment columnist Nitz Miralles wrote in her recent article in Pang-Masa, that Luis appeared to have been faced with the same problem as Tom Rodriguez. “Naalala namin si Tom Rodriguez kay Luis Manzano dahil parang pareho sila ng isyung kinasangkutan na involved ang taong malapit sa kanila,” she wrote.

The writer added that based on writeups, it was also Tom’s best man who is allegedly the reason why he and Carla Abellana separated. To recall, one of the rumored reasons for the Tom-Carla breakup that surfaced was the financial aspect. It was said that Tom invested a huge amount of money but he was scammed.

“Heto ngayon kay Luis, best man din daw sa kasal nila ni Jessy Mendiola ang rason kung bakit inireklamo si Luis at kanyang best man sa NBI dahil diumano sa P100 million Flex Fuel scam. Ang malala pa, may P66 million na utang din daw ang kampo ng best man na ito kay Luis, sariling pera ito ni Luis,” the writer shared.
