Xyriel Manabat Opens Up About Her Return To Acting
XYRIEL MANABAT – Former child star Xyriel Manabat opened up about her return to acting after years of hiatus.
Xyriel Manabat’s role as Antonette Pavia is one of the most anticipated characters in the new Kapamilya series ‘Dirty Linen.’ No regrets if the former child actress describes her return to television as part of the new series.
She plays Antonette who is one of the villains to look forward to in the future pairing of Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin.
In an interview with Xyriel Manabat, she admitted that she did not expect to be included in the powerhouse cast of Dirty Linen. She said “Hindi ko po alam na ganito kalaki ang cast, ang nabanggit lang po talaga is kung okay ka ba parang kontrabida sa show ng FranSeth ‘yun lang po talaga ang nabanggit na cast FranSeth.”
The 19-year-old actress said she was surprised to work with the big stars with her now including Janine Gutierrez and Zanjoe Marudo.

Xyriel Manabat said she did not think twice when she was offered the role as the villain in the hit Kapamilya series. “Hindi naman po ako nagdalawang isip. Kasi ‘yun lang po ang hinihintay ko noong nag-stop po ako. Naghihintay lang naman po ako nang magiging malapit po sa puso ko na offer na alam ko rin na hindi puwedeng palagpasin,” she said.
The young actress admitted that during her temporary break from show business, several offers came but she rejected it. “Sobrang grateful at thankful na nakabalik po ako with Star Magic, of course. Hindi ko na po nakikita ang sarili ko na babalik sa industry na hindi po sila ang nagha-handle sa akin. And happy po ako na nakasama po ako dito sa ‘Dirty Linen.’ Sobrang thankful po ako sa mga bosses,” she explained.
Based on a report from PUSH, Xyriel Manabat said with the arrival of a series of offers, she is sticking to her decision to be given the perfect role that she said would suit her and be close to her heart.
“Actually sobrang hirap po kasi kahit gaano karaming offer po nung mga time na nagre-rest po ako sa industry, parang ang hirap pong tumanggap ng offer na makakapagpabalik po talaga sa inyo knowing na worth the risk siya and talagang mabibigyan mo ng justice ‘yung role. So natuwa po ako roon sa offer na kasama ang mga cast and knowing na kontrabida naman ako dito,” said Xyriel.
In the end, Xyriel was very grateful to Dreamscape Entertainment who once again believed in her talent as an actress.
“Sobrang honored po ako na sa Dreamscape at sa Kapamilya network pa rin po ako babalik.”
