Wilbert Tolentino Says Miss Planet Philippines Paid For Crown
WILBERT TOLENTINO – Herlene Budol’s talent manager, Wilbert Tolentino said Miss Planet Philippines Maria Luisa Varela allegedly paid for the crown.
Miss Planet International is facing another controversy. On November 13, 2022, Miss Planet International announced via Facebook that the pageant scheduled for November 19 in Uganda was postponed and relocated.
Before the postponement of the contest was announced, some people backed out, including Philippines’ bet, Herlene “Hipon Girl” Budol. She and her manager, Wilbert Tolentino called it a “traumatic experience.”
It was supposed to be Herlene Budol’s first international pageant, following her Bb. Pilipinas stint where she placed 1st runner-up and bagged seven (7) special awards.
Just recently, Wilbert Tolentino released his statement following the release of the news that Miss Planet Philippines Maria Luisa Varela won the Miss Planet International 2023 pageant held in Cambodia

Wilbert Tolentino told the netizens not to celebrate the victory of Miss Planet Philippines because he said the crown won by Maria Luisa Varela was paid for.
The talent manager also criticized the alleged appointment national director of MPI Ph, Miki Antonio. It is said that apart from bypassing Wilbert, they are the ones who are angry with him.
Wilbert Tolentino released screenshots attached to his released statement regarding the victory of Miss Planet Philippines Maria Luisa Varela in the Miss Planet International 2023 pageant. He added that Varela already knew the final question before she went to Cambodia.
“Ate Girl (Maria Luisa) lumaban ka ng patas kawawa din mga co candidate mo at nag eeffort din cla para sa Pageant sinalihan nila at mag travel pa sila patungong #Cambodia.”
“Deserve mo etong post ko. Dahil bukod sa pag bypass nyo sa akin ng Kupal mong National Director si Miki Antonio. wala parin kayong modo at sobra kayong mabastos at kayo pa galit galitan,” he wrote.
