VIDEO: Gigi De Lana Finally Reveals Why She Cut Her Hair Short

GIGI DE LANA – Online singing superstar Gigi de Lana finally shared why she decided to cut her hair short.

Gigi de Lana first rose to prominence as a finalist in “Tawag ng Tanghalan” of “It’s Showtime,” and she became an instant celebrity when her band ‘The Gigi Vibes’ online sessions went viral during the height of the pandemic.

The 27-year-old celebrity is currently renowned as the Rising Viral Star as a result of her viral video of the song ‘Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita.’ Because of her talent, her followers and supporters are multiplying. She was also offered a role in the 2020 film Four Sisters Before the Wedding.

Gigi de Lana signed a contract with ABS-Talent CBN’s agency Star Magic in 2021. She can be seen on Kapamilya’s musical variety show “ASAP Natin ‘To” every Sunday.

In a previous article, the singer took to Facebook to respond to critics of her haircut. The singer now has a shorter hairstyle, which some netizens dislike. They then began bashing Gigi, telling her that her new hair does not suit her and makes her seem to look uglier.

The singer answered, stating that the netizens’ comments are correct. She then said that even if she shaved her hair, there is nothing anyone could do.

Gigi de Lana took to social media over the weekend to explain why she decided to chop her hair short. The online singing superstar stated on her TikTok account that it was not just for a new look.

“Ang daming hindi nakakaalam nito. Mommy ko po may stage 4 breast cancer, maiksi po ang hair niya. So gusto ko po kapag makikita ko siya parehas kami halos ng iksi ng hair,” Gigi said.

“Pero ito po hindi ko po kaya ‘yung semi kalbo o kaya parang boy cut talaga. So ayon po para hindi na po kayo magtanong at magsabi sa akin bakit ka nagpagupit. Ayan alam niyo na,” she shared.
