Ely Buendia Rumored P80M TF for Eraserheads Concert, Sources Deny

Sourced reacted to rumors that Ely Buendia received this whopping amount for his concert talent fee

The Huling El Bimbo concert, the reunion concert of Eraserheads, was held last December 22, 2022, and recently rumors surfaced that the band’s vocalist Ely Buendia was paid P80 million for this gig.

For over two decades, Eraserheads fans have been waiting for the reunion concert of the 90s iconic band. It was a star-studded concert as many celebrities went out to see Ely, along with Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan perform as a band.

Pambansang Bae Alden Richards’s production company Myriad Corporation co-produced the said concert and rumors surfaced that he did not earn from this. It was said there were a lot of complimentary tickets that were given away and the production cost was so high. It was also alleged that Ely Buendia’s talent fee was one of the reasons why the concert was “nalugi.”

However, in an article by entertainment columnist Gorgy Rula in Pang-Masa, he wrote that his sources denied that the Eraserheads concert had no profit.

Hindi raw sila naniniwalang lugi ito. Sa dami raw ng sponsors, nabawi na raw dito ang puhunan sa naturang concert,” Rula shared what people involved in the concert shared. These people also denied that Ely received P80 million for his talent fee.

Hindi nila kinumpirma ang eksaktong amount, pero sa tingin daw nila umabot ng P10M ang talent fee nina Ely at pati kay Raimund Marasigan,” the columnist added. Rula also mentioned that Alden, as one of the concert producers, did not release a statement if his company earned or “nalugi” in this venture.

Ely Buendia has not reacted yet to this matter, as of this writing.
