Bicol, 4 other areas across PH to experience rain due to easterlies

MANILA, Philippines – A rainy Monday is expected in five areas across the archipelago, including Bicol Region, due to the easterlies, or the winds blowing from the east, said the state weather bureau.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Administration (Pagasa), in its early morning forecast, said easterlies-induced rain and thunderstorms will be scattered over the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, and Quezon province.

(In Bicol, Quezon province, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao, as well as its neighboring areas, we’re seeing high chances of rain.)

Generally fair weather, on the other hand, will prevail in Manila and the rest of the country, he noted.

(Clear and slightly warm weather will be experienced by the rest of the country, apart from possible isolated rain, lightning, and thunder.)

According to Pagasa, no low-pressure area is seen to come in the vicinity of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) this week, but Badrina restated that one or two storms may still enter the PAR in December.

Meanwhile, the state weather service listed the temperature range in these areas on Monday:
