Herlene Budol has this first project as a Kapuso
Actress-beauty queen Herlene Budol started shooting for Magandang Dilag, her first teleserye on GMA-7, however, it is not yet allowed to take behind-the-scenes photos and videos because her face in the series is the “pambulaga.”
Aside from her success in the world of pageantry, Herlene had another milestone in showbiz this year. She officially signed a contract with the Kapuso network and her first project is a teleserye.
Based on the article in PEP, before Herlene went to Uganda for the supposed Miss Planet International 2022 competition, she already starting shooting for the series. However, the shots couldn’t be used because the prosthetics that were used on her face did not receive approval.
This means that her role requires her to look different from her own face. It was said people on the set are not allowed to take photos and videos because the face of Herlene Budol in the series is the “pambulaga.”
After her unsuccessful Uganda trip, the schedule for the shooting of her TV series was finalized and Herlene is very much ready for this stint. However, it was said that the shooting was packed up twice because problems arouse at the location.
On November 30, the shooting finally commenced. “Tuwang-tuwa ang production staff dahil nagkakasundo ang buong cast. Ang nakakatuwa pa raw, kaagad daw nagkasundo si Herlene at si Sandy Andolong, na siyang gumaganap na ina ni Hipon Girl sa naturang serye,” PEP columnist Gorgy Rula shared.
Rula also shared that it was easy for Sandy to get along with Herlene and they are really the mother-and-daughter tandem. The veteran actress also said that Herlene Budol is now one of her “anak-anakan” in showbiz just like Sanya Lopez when they did the series First Yaya and its sequel First Lady. Sandy saw the determination of “Hipon Girl” to learn acting.
