Rey PJ Abellana Hopes For Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez’s ‘Balikan’

Rey PJ Abellana is still optimistic when it comes to Carla and Tom’s relationship

Seasoned actor Rey PJ Abellana said that he is still hoping for a reconciliation between former couple Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez.

To recall, it is Rey PJ who first confirmed the breakup between his daughter and his former son-in-law Tom in an interview on Cristy Fermin‘s show in March this year. From that, issues surrounding the breakup surfaced.

In a recent interview on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel, Tom addressed the speculations that the breakup was caused by his being “bading” or being in a relationship with another woman. Although the Kapuso actor did not directly divulge the reason his marriage with Carla ended, he admitted that he has committed mistakes.

Based on the article in PEP, Rey PJ Abellana shared that as a father, he is hoping that her daughter and his former son-in-law will get back together.

“Alam niyo, honestly, based from my case, based from my experience, if you were to ask me kung posible ba yung dati ko, babalikan ko pa? Inspite of the lapse of time, changes, at everything, maraming nagbago. Pag tinanong mo ako, na may chance pa kaya na ang dati mo ay babalikan mo pa?” the seasoned actor said.

Rey PJ said that there is a possibility of reconciliation between ex-lovers because, in the past, they fell in love with each other. He also believes in second chances. The seasoned actor also shared that Tom talked to him about their situation before he went to the States.

“We talked one on one, at I saw the guy… I even told him na if worse comes to worst, ‘I still address you as my son.’ Yan ang sinabi ko sa kanya,” Rey PJ shared, adding that he has witnessed Tom’s kindness.

Rey PJ Abellana also said that he still likes Tom Rodriguez for Carla Abellana. “All the while, the last I saw him, I’m in favor of Tom. Wala akong against kay Tom. And I would still say na boto pa rin ako sa kanilang dalawa… supposedly,” he said.
