Canadian Paramedic Experiences Worst Nightmare when She Unknowingly Tried to Save her own Daughter

PARAMEDIC – A Canadian woman working in a rescue team tried to save a dying car crash victim but later found out she’s her own daughter.

Some individuals were led by fate in a field where they have the chance to help save other people’s lives. Among these are those who are part of rescue teams may it be health, fire, or security rescue teams. They are the turn tos of people in times of emergency.

However, while they may be strong enough to help save the lives of others, many of them have also thought of a nightmare at least once – what if it happens that the person being rescued is a member of their own family?

Recently, in Calgary, Canada, a paramedic faced her life’s “worst nightmare”. Canadian rescuer Jayme Erickson unknowingly tried to save her dying daughter who was involved in a car crash.

Based on her own social media post, it was last November 15 when Jayme and her partner got dispatched to rescue two (2) people who were critically injured in a car crash. They were trapped inside the vehicle.

Jayme went in the car, sat, and tried everything she can to save the young lady. They were able to take her out and she was brought to the hospital. After her shift ended, Jayme went home and the nightmare was unraveled a few minutes after she arrived home.

Based on the post of the paramedic, minutes after she got home, some officials knocked at their door to inform her that her daughter got into an accident. It was her daugher, Montana, whom she attended to.

The paramedic did not recognize her own daugher as she was attending to her because of the severe injuries she got from the car crash. She was brought to the hospital to see her daughter.

“I was taken to FMC to see my baby girl, and was informed her injuries were not compatible with life,” Jayme wrote.

After four (4) days, Montana died leaving Jayme admittedly angry for the short life that her daughter got citing she will miss a lot about her – the person she will become, her graduation, her wedding. The paramedic ended her Facebook post with a reminder for everyone to love hard and strong.

“Love with all your heart. Hold those close to you. Make memories. ‘If you’re going to love somebody, hold on as long and as strong as you can… til you can’t,” she stated.
