PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (November 5, 2022)

PAGASA Says Shear Line & ITCZ to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the shear line and Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring rains over parts of the country.

On Saturday (November 5, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line and Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Shear Line will be affecting Extreme Northern Luzon while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Mindanao.

The ITCZ will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Provinces, southern portion of Palawan, Batanes, Babuyan Islands Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

The ITCZ / Localized Thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as the rest of Mindanao.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition.

The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected area to take precautionary measures for possible  flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
