Ex-BuCor Chief Rafael Ragos Recants Claims Against Former Sen. Leila De Lima

Ex-BuCor Chief Rafael Ragos apologized to former Senator Leila de Lima when they met at the Muntinlupa Court’s hallways.

Shortly after she sat as one of the lawmakers in the Senate in 2016, then Sen. Leila de Lima was pinned down by several individuals who accused her of involvement in the drug trade inside the national penitentiary when she was the secretary of justice.

De Lima was a staunch critic of the Duterte administration’s war against drugs. There were several instances when she and the then-President exchanged heated statements against each other. Even inside the Philippine Custodial Center in Camp Crame where she was detained for more than five (5) years now, the then lady Senator has maintained being vocal about her stand on national issues.

In the recent previous months, several individuals who pinned down former Sen. Leila de Lima recanted their testimonies. One of them is ex-BuCor Chief Rafael Ragos who claimed that he was just forced to testify against her.
