LRT Turns to Art Gallery, Netizens React

The Manila Light Rail Transit System or locally known as LRT has turned into an art gallery, and the online community reacts.

Sistema ng Magaang Riles Panlulan ng Maynila or commonly known as the LRT, is an urban rail transit system that primarily serves Metro Manila, Philippines. Although categorized as a light rail system because it originally used light rail vehicles.

LRT has been one of the most famous transport vehicles in the National Capital Region. Many residents prefer to take trains to avoid traffic congestion along the road. Unfortunately, a lot of commuters usually occupy the train, especially during rush hours.

A Facebook user named Kyle Del Rosario has shared the photo of 1×1 pictures he found inside the train. The post immediately spread like a wildfire online and garnered various reactions from social media users.

In the photo, it can be seen that one LRT unit has a couple of 1×1 pictures hanging in pivoted grab handles. The pictures hanging on the handles for standing passengers have turned the train into an art gallery.

“I’d like to say I was pleasantly shocked, as instead of seeing advertisements on the hand grips, I saw fellow students/commuters who may be trying to brighten their (and other’s) day by putting their ID pictures up there,” Rosario said.

Kyle admitted that he laughed after seeing the pictures inside the train. He got on the train around 5 am to report on his on-the-job training (OJT) when he saw the pictures.

“Got on the train around 5 am for my OJT, nagulat nalang ako na may mukha malapit sa kamay ko,” the passenger added.

The photo has a caption:

“Bakit naman ginawang art gallery yung lrt?  ”
