Paeng death toll climbs to 98 — NDRRMC

 

MANILA, Philippines — The wrath of tropical storm Paeng (international name: Nalgae) has resulted in 98 reported deaths, so far, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Monday.

In its 6 a.m. situational repor, the NDRRMC said only 58 of these deaths have been confirmed — 53 in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Barmm), three in Western Visayas, and two in Soccsksargen (Cotabato, Saranggani, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat).
