An honest man earned praise after he returned the wallet he found containing P10k despite the devastation of Typhoon Paeng.

The good Samaritan returned the P10,000 value of the wallet he had taken, resisting the temptation to keep the money. Yolito Laure, a kind man from Eastern Samar’s Calbayog City, was named as the honest man.

In Matnog Port, Yolito collaborated with the port police to restore the claimed wallet to its owner, the Philippine Ports Authority reported. The wallet contains P10,000 in cash as well as the owner’s identification cards.

Only a few hours after the Ro-Ro vessel’s return to service on the Matnog, Sorsogon – Allen, Northern Samar route, the wallet was lost. Yolito received recognition and a reward as a result of his sincerity, based on the post.

69 people were harmed or injured, and 63 were listed as missing, out of the 98 people that perished as a result of the recent typhoon “Paeng.” The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) also stated that the typhoon had an impact on 575, 728 families.
