Lyca Gairanod on Dina Bonnevie: “Natakot ako pero…”

Singer Lyca Gairanod said that after knowing that she will be in a dressing room with seasoned actress Dina Bonnevie, she felt initial “takot.”

Lyca is one of the people in showbiz who has a very inspiring story before she became popular. From being a singer, she is now doing an acting stint. The young artist is part of the comedy series Kalye Kweens.

In an interview for this project, based on the article in NewsKo, Lyca shared that she had a wonderful experience working with the seasoned actress. She admitted that at first, she felt afraid to be in one dressing room with the award-winning actress but eventually this initial feeling changed.

“Noong una po natakot ako nung nalaman ko na si Miss D ang makakasama ko sa dressing room. Pero nawala rin po agad yun. Hindi naman po ako na-awkward kasi sobra pong bait ni Miss D. Grabe po siya mag-approach, lagi po siyang naka-smile,” Lyca Gairanod shared.

The singer also shared that she and Dina would always eat together. Lyca said that the seasoned actress would share her food. The younger celebrity would also get a “good morning” greeting from the prominent showbiz personality.

Dina also gave acting tips to Lyca. The singer said that the seasoned actress told her to always remember to be grounded despite all the fame and success she has. Lyca also thanked the older celebrity for supporting her acting stint.

“Tinulungan niya po ako kung paano hugutin yung mga lines, yung emotions po. Hindi ko po iyon makakalimutan,” the singer shared.

Lyca Gairanod plays the character of jolly Marion in the barangay where Kapitana Telly, the character of Dina Bonnevie, is serving. Kalye Kweens is set to premiere on TV5 at 8:30 pm on October 1. This can also be watched on Sunday at 8 pm on Sari Sari Channel (available on Cignal Channel 3, SatLite Channel 30 at Cignal Play).
