Cristy Fermin Challenges Kat Alano: “Magbanggit ng pangalan”

Veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin challenged TV host Kat Alano to drop the name of the man who abused her.

Back in 2020, Kat caught the attention of the online community when she tweeted about a celebrity who raped her, and his name “rhymes with wrong.” It was easy for netizens to conclude that she was referring to Vhong Navarro who is now being detained due to the rape case filed by model Deniece Cornejo.

Back then, she was criticized for saying this on social media and not filing a case against the said man. Kat reasoned out that it is because the uncle of the celebrity made sure that all the cases filed against him will be dismissed.

After Vhong was arrested, Kat once again shared an intriguing tweet. She said that now justice was served after 17 years. Although the TV host received support, there were also a lot who bashed her but Kat remained unfazed.

In a recent Showbiz Now Na talk show of Cristy Fermin with Morly Alinio and Romel Chika on YouTube, they talked about the social media posts of Kat Alano amid Vhong Navarro’s current situation.

The veteran columnist said that the TV host should say the name of the man who abused her years ago. Without naming the abuser, the showbiz talk show hosts said that Kat is just being “sawsawera.”

“Diretsuhin mo kung sino ang taong pinatutungkulan mo para hindi ka nalalagay sa alanganin,” Cristy said. She added that Kat would just resurface if there is a hot topic about Vhong. With this, Cristy said that many people will think that she is referring to Vhong even though she is not saying any name.

“Kung matapang ka at gusto mo talagang ipagtanggol ang kaapihan mo bilang isang babae na ninakawan ng dangal dapat banggitin mo kung sino talaga yan at yan ang hamon sa’yo ng sambayanang Pilipino,” Cristy Fermin said.
