PCG rescues 3 human trafficking victims bound for Sabah, Malaysia 

 

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Wednesday said they have rescued three victims bound for Sabah, Malaysia over the weekend in another case of supposed human trafficking.

The PCG said the victims were onboard a commercial passenger vessel from Zamboanga del Sur en route to Tawi-Tawi.

The unidentified victims are a certain 44-year-old female, a 37-year-old male, and a nine-year-old male.

“The PCG duty sea marshals coordinated with the vessel captain and conducted the verification and profiling of reported passengers,” the PCG said in a statement.
