Joshua Garcia on possibly liking Bella Poarch: ‘Why not?’

Joshua Garcia recalled his interactions and previous plans to meet Bella Poarch after the Filipino-America singer confessed she had a crush on him.
The actor was asked how he felt when Poarch made public her admiration for him during his interview for “TV Patrol,” as seen on its Facebook page yesterday, Aug. 18.

“She posted me before sa TikTok account niya and nag-comment ako dun… Nakakataba lang ng puso. Masaya ako, siyempre, I’m happy na may humahanga sa akin,” he admitted. (She posted me before on her TikTok account and I commented there… It warms my heart. Of course I am happy that someone admires me.)
When asked if he likes Poarch back, Garcia simply answered, “Why not?”

“Nagkakausap kami before. Before pa ng June ata, dapat magkikita kami pero hindi natuloy ‘yung Star Magic tour ko. Hindi ako nakasama. Tapos parang July ata pupunta dapat siya, pero hindi natuloy,” he narrated.
(We talked before. We were supposed to meet maybe around last June, but I was not able to join the Star Magic tour. Then in July, she was supposed to come here, but it did not push through.)
Garcia considers Poarch a “good friend” and described their conversations as “hindi lang hi, hello (not just hi [and] hello).”
“Magkaibigan kami ngayon… May konting katanungan. Hinanap ko pa ‘yung mga English pero sabi niya nagta-Tagalog naman siya,” he quipped. (We are friends now… We asked some questions to each other. I struggled in speaking English, but she told me she speaks Tagalog.)
Garcia then expressed hope to show Poarch around the Philippines when she visits the country for Christmas, and wishes she can perform on the stage of “ASAP Natin ‘To,” which Poarch previously revealed as her dream.
Interactions between Garcia and Poarch appear to have started back in April, when the singer featured Garcia in one of her TikTok videos. Poarch then left a comment on Garcia’s shirtless photo back in May, leading fans of the actor to tell her to “fall in line.”
Poarch rose to fame through TikTok, where she posted lip-synch videos, before she started her career as a singer. She released her songs “Build a B*tch” and “Inferno” last year, followed by “Dolls” last month. /ra
