Here’s the reason why Ruffa Gutierrez is honoring her mother

Actress Ruffa Gutierrez said that her mother talent manager Annabelle Rama has a lucky streak and this is the reason why she thinks this way.

Ruffa’s career is being handled by her mother but recently, she officially signed a contract with Viva Artist Agency and this makes Annabelle a co-manager. It is known to many that Ruffa and Annabelle have been very vocal about their mother-daughter relationship.

Despite their differences, it is still obvious how close they are and this would remain forever. In a recent interview after her contract signing with Boss Vic del Rosario of Viva Entertainment, Ruffa Gutierrez joked that the media executive should give her mother an envelope, based on the article in Bandera.

“Kanina nga, binibiro ko si Boss Vic, ‘Bigyan mo naman ng envelope si Mommy to make her feel important.’ Masaya na ‘yan, di ba?” Ruffa quipped. She jokingly continued that through this way, her mother will still feel that she is part of the equation.

The actress said that children should always honor their parents even though she has a mother who is “makulit” and would always have fights with her. Ruffa stressed that her mother will always be part of her life and career.

She can say this not because Annabelle is her mother but because she thinks that the veteran showbiz personality also has a lucky streak. “Anything mom touches also turns into gold, and marunong talaga siyang makisama sa mga tao,” the actress said.

Meanwhile, Ruffa Gutierrez said that she is very thankful to be part of Viva now. She revealed that her family has been really close to Del Rosarios. After coming to the Philippines from the States, she already received an offer from Viva but at that time, she signed a contract with the late Donna Villa of Golden Lions and became part of Regal Films.

“But you know, napakaliit po ng industriya kasi umiikot lang naman tayo in circles and now, after how many decades, two decades, I’m here now with Viva,” the actress said adding that several times, Viva has offered her to sign a contract with the company.
